Free Childcare Scheme!

We accept government funded hours for 1, 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Because we do not offer term time only places, these hours will be stretched over 50 weeks of the year (we are closed the other 2) and will be deducted from the hours of your chosen session. The stretched entitlement is listed below:

  1. The 30 hours funding is stretched across the 50 weeks of the year which works out at 23 hours per week.
  2. The 15 hours of universal funding for non-working families stretch to 12 hours across 50 weeks of the year.

Additional charges:
Lunch = £2.50
Hot dinner = £3.00
Non-food consumables daily charge = £2.50

Please note that the the Department for Education have made it clear that these food and non-food consumables cannot be made mandatory. If you would like to discuss bringing your own lunch and/or dinner or providing your own non-food consumables, then please contact us to discuss. However, In the interest of transparency, we would like to explain why we gently advise against this option:

  • Ofsted require meals to meet strict nutritional guidance, and we would need to check packed lunches to ensure compliance.

  • As well as Nappies, wipes, sun cream, gloves, aprons and cleaning materials, the non-food consumable fee also covers resources and craft materials. Having this all paid in one daily fee ensures all children can be included in all activities without having to worry about any extra charge.

  • Children eating different food from their peers may need to be separated at mealtimes due to allergen and choking hazards. This could cause unnecessary upset or confusion.

  • As a small team, managing mixed billing, additional safeguarding checks, and separate lunchtime arrangements would increase staffing pressures while we are working hard to keep our overall fees as low as possible.

Holiday Club

Holiday Club: For anyone who wants to join us during the holidays, it's £42 for a school day or £55 for the full day.

Policies

All of our policies are centered around the EYFS and based on the following key principles and values:

  1. All children deserve the care and support they need to have the best start in life. Children learn and develop at a faster rate from birth to five years old than at any other time in their lives, so their experiences in early years have a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe, and happy childhood is important in its own right. Good parenting and high-quality early learning provide the foundation children need to fulfil their potential.
  2. The EYFS sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. It promotes teaching and learning to ensure children’s ‘school readiness’ and gives children the right foundation for good future progress through school and life.
  3. The EYFS is about what children learn, as well as how they learn. Effective practice is a mix of different approaches. Children learn through play, by adults modelling, by observing each other and through adult-guided learning.
  4. The EYFS seeks to provide:
    • Quality and consistency in all early years settings, so that every child makes good progress, and no child gets left behind.
    • A secure foundation through planning for the learning and development of each individual child and assessing and reviewing what they have learned regularly.
    • Partnership working between practitioners and with parents and/or carers.
    • Equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice, ensuring that every child is included and supported.
  5. Four guiding principles should shape practice in early years. These are:
    • Every child is a unique child, who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident, and self-assured.
    • Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships.
    • Children learn and develop well in enabling environments with teaching and support from adults, who respond to their individual interests and needs and help them to build their learning over time. Children benefit from a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and/or carers.
    • Importance of learning and development. Children develop and learn at different rates.
